It work but when I put my AT&T sim back in the network don’t work. Wifi work fine. YouTube or safari won’t work with AT&T sim. It can’t detect my network

update ur iphone through itunes and activate. Then run jailbreakme 2.0
What do u mean by activate? Just turn it on?
Why does it need to be activated? Can’t you jailbreak over wifi?
Just get the latest info (update)via iTunes, then JB through inet directly from iPhone.

This workED like a charm on my 3GS. I used Safari on a wi-fi connection. To unlock find ultrasn0w in Cydia and run that with your Tmobile sim card in place. Simplest jailbreak ever!
You need a phonebook sim card or a AT&T sim card to activate the iPhone after you restore through iTunes. If you guys have ever noticed that the only thing you can do is call 911 if you have a unactivated iPhone.
I have a jailbroken 3GS on 3.1.3. If I upgrade to 4.0.1 through iTunes in order to JB with this tool will I lose all of my jailbroken apps etc in the process?

I have a 3gs 3.13 with spirit jalbroken and all SHSH on file.. Is a MC137LL with 5.12.01 in the back it says A1303B..can I update trough iTunes to 4 and is it untethered..means can I turn off my iPhone without have it plugin to iTunes all the time..also important Q–how do I drag and drop my debs and ipas to my desktop for later reinstall from the iphones root…pl help thnx

Guys just DO NOT update if u in 3.1.3 and using spirit, most of the apps won’t work I felt suck I had to down grad just after one day, plus after I got my backup my phone stock at the safe mood, it’s sucks

For installous (I have a 4.0.1 3GS) what I did (after I got the source in) I saw that I already had some parts of it installed (App Sync 4). So I just uninstalled those parts and reinstalled Installous and it worked.

So if I’m running a 3g 3.1.2 jailbroken with blackra1n, all I have to do is update to 4.01 and run the site? I’m with Rogers, so I don’t think I need my phone unlocked (Rogers is the service provider), and will the apps work as before? I heard that some apps aren’t 4.0 compatible yet…
@Jordan, I wouldn’t update now because itunes will just give you 4.0.2 firmware which can’t be jailbroken with jailbreakme

Okay, well I tried to restore my iphone 3g 3.1.2 to 4.0, and for some reason it wouldn’t let me. It say it cant be updated and asks me to send the information to apple. Can anyone help?
