Fuzzyband 4.0-b1-3 – Update – Adds New Baseband Support

Fuzzyband is an application to downgrade the Baseband in some older 3G iPhones.

To instal this app, you must have a jailbroken iPhone already.

Fuzzyband was just updated to version 4.0-b1-3 thus making it compatible with the new Firmware 4.0 beta1.

Fuzzyband, the application that will downgrade your baseband with a tap of a button, was updated and now it supports iPhone OS 4.0beta1. Theoretically you can downgrade your baseband, and use ultrasn0w to unlock your iPhone 3G running OS 4.0beta1. Why theoretically? Because it will work only for 05.08 bootloader users – early iPhones , which are pretty rare this days…

Fuzzyband is an application for free that can be downloaded from the category“System” in Cydia through the repository BigBoss.

Downgrade Baseband from 05.12.01 to 04.26.08

1. First, you need to jailbreak your iPhone. As you have already upgraded to iPhone 3.1.3, please use redsn0w to jailbreak the iPhone. You can check out the complete guide here.

2. After your iPhone is jailbroken, launch Cydia and search for “Fuzzyband”. Then download and install the application.

3. Go back to home screen after installation. Tap “Fuzzyband” icon to launch it.

4. Tap the “Downgrade” button to kick off the baseband downgrade.

Note: Fuzzyband only works on iPhone 3G with bootloader 05.08. Not know the bootloader version? No worry, the app automatically verifies it for you.

Once you complete the baseband downgrade to 04.26.08 successfully, you can download ultrasn0w to unlock your iPhone.
