Fix FaceTime for iPhone 4 T-Mobile US
MiTime app for iPhone 4 has been released which fixes and / or activates FaceTime on unlocked iPhone 4s which are running on unofficial unsupported carriers such as T-Mobile US. According to the description of the app, it should work on just about any carrier worldwide. You must be able to receive an international SMS message to get FaceTime activated via MiTime.
NOTE: You will need to first purchase MiTime for $5.99 for the app to be authorized before you install it. MiTime will not run on unauthorized devices. The number on your phone must match the number you entered on the website. Also, you do not need to touch the FaceTime toggle in Settings -> Phone and should not need to change it ever again. If you turn off FaceTime, just run MiTime again and it will re-enable it the proper way.
Step 1: First up, you will need to add http://cydia.pushfix.info as a repository in Cydia on your jailbroken iPhone 4. Search for MiTime and install it.
Step 2: If you are outside the US, check your phone # in Settings -> Phone. Your phone number must be correct and should have the + symbol at the front of it. You should NOT continue unless your phone # is exactly the one that you entered on the purchase page of MiTime.info.
Step 3: Run MiTime and verify whether you are authorized. If your phone # matches, you should be good to go.
Step 4: See below and compare to what you have on the screen:
If it says “Ready for activation” and has an “Activate” button, you are ready to use a credit to activate.
If it does NOT say “Ready for activation”, leave it at the this screen until it resets FaceTime and re-springs (2 minutes). After re-spring, unlock the phone and within one minute it should warn you about costs – IMPORTANT–>click OK.
If it says “Activated” you can stop here. It will back up your FaceTime activation for later recovery.
Step 5: If you are ready, tap the “Activate my FT” button and follow the prompts. Only send one activation request and wait for up to 15 minutes. It should only take 1 minute, but don’t waste your activation credits. If it doesn’t activate after 15 minutes, eject and re-insert your SIM. Wait 1 minute and then reboot.
Step 6: If it says that “An activation request has been generated”, stay on this screen. Within 1 minute usually, you will see it change to Activated.
Step 7: Once it shows Activated as shown in the screenshot below, you are done! It has saved your token and FaceTime is fully enabled.
The app can be used to fix almost any FaceTime problem in the future just by running it.

Someone needed to charge in that first screenshot
1.Make sure you have international messages in your contract or you might be charge cause facetime sends messages randomly to the UK.
2. Find an legal carrier sim card (in the USA AT&T) activated or not.
3. Insert the carrier sim in the iPhone.
4.Restore the iPhone as new (not from backup). After the resort, you should see that the iPhone screen is unlocked (no emergency screen) and there should be a message saying “waiting for activation” (If you go under settings->phone->you should see the Facetime switch. If you don’t, you must have used a phonebook sim to activate the iPhone or a Hacktivation which will cause problems activating Facetime. 5. Jailbreak with Limera1n or Greenpois0n or Pwnage tool.
6. Go to Cydia and install all updates.
7. Go back to Cydia and unlock the phone using Ultrasn0w (in Cydia, click on the search icon in the tab bar and type ultrasn0w, then install it.
8. Switch the sim with your sim now (in my case T-mobile).
9. In case you wanna have MMS and Data working otherwise go to (11), go to Settings->General->Network and look for “Cellular data network”, it should be after “Cellular data”. In case you don’t have it, (if you are using t-mobile) turn “Enable 3G” OFF, turn ON “Cellular Data and Data Roaming”. Go to Cydia->Manage->Sources->Edit->Add and add: “Cydia.pushfix.info” and click Done then “Pushfix.info” cell and look for “Mitime”, install it, launch it. If it says “Wrong Carrier Bundle …” remove the sim and insert it again.
10. Go back to Settings->General->Network, you should see now “Cellular data network”. (For t-mobile USA) under Cellular Data APN enter: epc.tmobile.com (no dash), under MMS APN: epc.tmobile.com, under MMS MMSC: mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc (a dash this time). Now try sending mms to see if it works, mine didn’t I had to restart the phone before it did (cause the phone were using old settings). 11. Go to Cydia and add this source “iphonedelivery.advinux.com/cydia” and install “iphoneDelivery”. (it will tell you when your phone is sends messages even hidden messages that are sent by facetime).
12. In case you have installed “Mitime” from Cydia remove it cause by turning facetime ON, it will send messages to a Google Voice account (+16148357357), the right number should be (+4477……).
13. Go to Settings->General->Auto-Lock and set it to never.
14. Go to Settings and turn WIFI off, then Settings->phone and switch facetime ON and OFF for couple of times (if should see an alert saying “your carrier might charge you for …” (something like that) everytime you turn it ON and also a delivery confirmation to the +4477…. number.
15. After switching it ON and OFF couple of times leave the screen ON and facetime ON all night, the next morning facetime should be ACTIVATED. (no waiting for activation).
16. In case you have facetime switching back off when you turn it on, just restart the phone and redo step 14, and 15 it should work properly after that.
hey my number format it doesnt have the sign + b4 my actual number it something like this 1 (306) xxx-xxxx and it doesnt let me change my number so what can i do to set it right?
mine says that new MiTime activations are not available at this time, any help would be greatly appreciated, as i have searched and searched and found nothing…..
how must i unlock a touchtone phone? if i get an unlocked cellular phone am i able to make use of it with any service provider? for instance. i would like a sidekick 3, however my service provider is sprint. So if its unlocked, will i be able to utilize it with sprint?
