The folks over at the ModMyi forums have composed a great list of their top five most used Cydia/Rock applications. Nickhesson (username) compiled the list by “Asking each of the staff members their top picks, I will list the apps from the most common first, and then I’ll show each staff member’s top picks.” Anyhow, here are the top five most used jailbreak apps by the peeps at ModMyi:

Microsoft’s Windows Live Messenger for the iPhone is now available on the iTunes App Store.
Windows Live Messenger is Microsoft’s fourth (free) application for the iOS platform and was first shown at The Next Web conference earlier this year. Looks like the Windows Live Messenger app for iPhone has just hit the App Store – but it only landed in certain regions (iTunes link
), just like Microsoft’s Bing for iPhone app.
The iOS app brings the new Windows Live Messenger Wave 4 features with it. Integration with Facebook, Flickr, Skydrive and other services.

iWhiteboard by Andy Aude was recently released on Cydia through BigBoss, and it will be used in the creation of iFile 101.
As promised, Yoshi and I have been working on our future post, iFile 101. We envision it as a guide for those who wish to possess more knowledge and control of their iDevice. It is intended to enrich the understanding of those who have some, and open the floodgates for those who have none. Pwned Elite Theme Completes Your iDevice!
Everyone has favorite apps. Those that they could not live without. But what about themes? There are so many visual masterpieces to chose from on Cydia and Rock. I personally like to change my theme all the time. I have also been known to mod and mash themes together. I was recently given the gift of Pwned Elite, by its creator, Daniel Meese (@dcmeese) for this review:

This developer has created something special with this theme. It is not the most overboard or dramatic theme available for Winterboard, but it is simple, artistic and pays homage to the Dev Team, the iPhone OS and our favorite tech deviance, Jailbreaking. Why is it a paid theme? It also includes a matching SBsettings theme, Voice Control theme, Pogo Plank theme, Categories add-on pack, one of a kind mod to Doodle Jump and many extras! The completeness and coherency of this theme is definitely worth the $1.99.
The icons are square and mostly stock designed, with a few exceptions, and Pwned Elite uses an icon mask to auto create your app store app icons, this insures that every app you download and view in the app store is themed. A very special feature for me is the dock, specially made for five icons. It is so simple, its just a black bar with 5 glowing lights, but it is elegant and perfect for those that use a five icon dock or Infinidock. It also looks fantastic when stretched in landscape mode, thanks to SBrotator. This theme completes my iPhone (for now). I will probably mod this theme eventually, but it is very well done and my new favorite.
The only things that are missing from this theme can be easily overcome:
1. Springboard strings, or custom text in the “slide to unlock” bar and notifications, etc. This can be accomplished with MyStrings or one could copy/paste an en.iproj folder from another theme into Pwned Elite.theme/ Bundles/com.apple.springboard and “overwrite” the folder.
2. Carrier logo. Carrier logos can be downloaded separately, or use MakeItMine, available in Cydia.
