Signal App for iPhone Shows Detailed Info of Cellular Towers

Signal is a new app available on Cydia. App works for iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G. This app shows you all the information about the cell towers around you. You can see where the towers are on a very detailed map.

App Description:

Signal is a utility created by iPhone Dev Team member planetbeing that displays information about the cell tower your iPhone is connected to as well as neighbouring cells. It detects and maps the location of all nearby cell towers so that the user can easily get a good idea of their cellularcoverage or where to go to get the best cellphone reception. Combined with the free iPhone carrier unlock that planetbeing has helped create, a user can swap SIMs and determine which carrier is best for him or her based on cellular coverage. In addition the map, other useful technical data is displayed including RSCP (signal strength) in dBm and E_c/N₀(signal quality) to all neighbours, the PSC of the cells, as well as the frequency each cell is broadcasting in.

Buy this app ($4.99) is a great idea since the person that made the app is Planetbeing, yes the person that unlocked the iphone 4. This would be a great was to thank him for this work on the unlock.

Overall FaceTime over 3G seems to work very well, maybe some bugs still to be worked out. I think for doing video conferencing over 3G it is really good. Thanks to the makers of My3G for making this happen.

Cyntact is one of the first paid applications in the Cydia Store developed by Saurik. This is a great update for iPhone 4 Users.

App does cost $1.00 in Cydia.

All you need to do to unlock your iPhone 4 is:

Jailbreak your iPhone 4 using JailBreakme.com, once that is done Cydia will be on your phone. Go to Cydia let it load and Ultrasn0w should be there. Install Ultrasn0w and enjoy your iPhone 4!!!!!

Now that iPhone 4 jailbreak has been released to public, the much awaited update to My3G app has been released !! With this new updated version of My3G for iPhone 4, you can now make FaceTime video calls over your cellular 3G network which otherwise isn’t possible.
