iPhone 4 Review

The iPhone 4, so many different emotions come to mind when you hear the name of that device no? The complaints of signal issues, proximity sensors, everything right? For me this is easily the best device I’ve ever owned.
I remember when the iPhone 3G came out, and Apple presented their commercial for it, and the words “The only phone to be the iPhone, the new iPhone..3G.” To me that’s the only true device that can beat the iPhone, the iPhone that follows it. You can call me a fanboy but when you get down to it, it’s true. Android is a very worthy competitor but you didn’t come hear to hear about that OS did you? Hit the jump for the full review!

Read MoreAre you an owner of a slow iPhone 3G with iOS 4? Apple’s looking into it..
Is your iPhone 3G on the latest and greatest OS by Apple? iOS 4? Too bad it’s slow right? Well according to an Apple spokesperson told WSJ that they are looking into the problem that’s plaguing the phone.
The most common criticism is that the phone is slow after an upgrade. There are also many complaints that the phone drains the battery quickly and becomes excessively hot. Concern about general problems such as slowness and battery life on gadgets isn’t unusual, but using iOS 4 on the iPhone 3G seems to make the problems so bad that the phone is nearly unusable for some people.
Maybe a special iOS 4.0.2 specifically for iPhone 3G users or maybe all their problems will be fixed with iOS 4.1 all together.

Read MoreiPhone 4 voice calls, still better than iPhone 3GS
Walt Mossberg of The Wall Street Journal has been testing iPhone 4 voice calls for about 6 weeks. Walt has come to his conclusion that the iphone 4 drops fewer calls than the iPhone 3GS. He notes that the iPhone 4 is not the best but better than previous iPhones. Walt also talks about the overall battery life of the iPhone 4 being much better than other iPhones.
“So that’s my six-week, real-world report. Despite the hot-spot issue and the exposed antenna, the iPhone 4 does better than the 3GS for me in decent coverage. But I still wouldn’t advise adopting it as your primary phone if you live, work or travel in areas with poor AT&T reception, or if you prefer a network under less stress.”

The US Federal government has decided that “Jailbreaking” is ok!
WASHINGTON – Owners of the iPhone will be able to break electronic locks on their devices in order to download applications that have not been approved by Apple. The government is making that legal under new rules announced Monday.
The decision to allow the practice commonly known as “jailbreaking” is one of a handful of new exemptions from a federal law that prohibits the circumvention of technical measures that control access to copyrighted works. Every three years, the Library of Congress authorizes such exemptions to ensure that existing law does not prevent non-infringing use of copyrighted material.
In addition to the jailbreaking being ok’d it looks like another exemption will allow owners of used cell phones to break access controls on there phones so that they can switch wireless carriers!!!!!
Could this mean that we are finally going to get AT&T to unlock our iphones?
Read MoreNew Spirit-like Jailbreak Delayed
There are rumors floating around that the new Spirit iOS 4 jailbreak (not sure though if it’ll still be named Spirit) which is expected to work on all iDevices including the new iPhone 4 will be released today. We don’t know where this started, but we’re pretty sure, jailbreak aficionados out there especially iPhone 4 owners got excited over this bit of news. Unfortunately though, it won’t be happening. As MuscleNerd rightly said, there is no point in releasing a half-baked jailbreak tool which causes issues for the end-users.
Not to make it a daily thing, but since somehow people thought it would be today: the new JB+unlock won’t be out today.
There are apparently some issues that still need to be resolved with this upcoming iPhone jailbreak and some of the new features on the iPhone 4 such as Facetime before they give it their seal of approval and roll it out to the jailbreak community. Don’t worry. It’ll be released, just not today.
Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that they don’t encounter anymore problems along the way, and hopefully, they can properly address the ones they’ve already found so that this new jailbreak can finally be put to good use by the awaiting public.
